The Champions League winners meet the Europa League winners as Manchester City take on Sevilla in the annual UEFA Super Cup fixture.

This year, the match takes place in Greece at the home of Olympiacos. City won the Champions League final against Inter Milan to secure the trophy for the first time, while Sevilla collected their seventh Europa League title by beating Roma.

Manchester City will look to add to their trophy haul for 2023 when they face Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup.
The annual fixture pits the Champions League winners and the Europa League champions against each other.

City won the Champions League for the first time – and completed an historic treble – with a 1-0 victory against Inter Milan in the final in Istanbul.

Sevilla overcame Roma in an ill-tempered final to win the Europa League in a penalty shootout and collect the trophy for a seventh time. Now, the two European champions will meet each other in Greece.

Manchester City began their latest Premier League title defence with a 3-0 win over Vincent Kompany’s newly-promoted Burnley at Turf Moor.

Their UEFA Super League clash with Sevilla comes just five days after, before they return to domestic action against Newcastle on Saturday, August 19, live on TNT Sports.

City boss Pep Guardiola has been critical of fixture scheduling in recent seasons and begins the new campaign with three matches in eight days.
