The Ukrainian defender also opened up about the Premier League title race with Arsenal just a point behind league leaders Man City, adding: “Well, this is why the Premier League is the best in the world.

“There is always a good competition everywhere, not just at the top of the table. Here, you never know. Any team can beat you and punish you if you are not at your best, which is why you have to stay focused every single game.”

Zinchenko seems to have improved due to the competition from Takehiro and has started to put in better performances over the last few weeks.

He scored a stunning goal in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Burnley in the Premier League before the November international break.
